Bespoke Commissions
A piece made for one specific thing — a place, a person, a day.
Not every illustration happens live. Sometimes the thing worth capturing needs a bit more time — a venue that deserves its own portrait, a map of somewhere that matters, a moment from a wedding that you want to exist as an actual piece of art.
What I make
Venue illustrations: The building, the garden, the room where it happened. Couples commission these as a keepsake, or as a gift for a venue they loved. They work beautifully as a print.
Keepsake portraits: A more considered version of what I do live. These work two ways.
As table placecards — a small illustrated portrait at each guest's seat, made in advance from a photo. Personal, specific, something people actually keep.
Or as post-event portraits — for couples who want to make sure everyone gets one, I offer a post-event commission to finish the remaining guests from photos after the day. Same illustrations, just made in my own time rather than at the easel. No guest left behind.
Illustrated maps: A place that means something. A neighbourhood, a route, somewhere you keep returning to. These take longer and I enjoy them a lot.
Commemorative artwork: A wedding, an anniversary, a moment worth marking. If you have something specific in mind that doesn't fit neatly into a category, tell me what it is — that's usually where the most interesting briefs come from.
